This is a newly created and key role within a highly integrated finance team responsible for engaging with multiple stakeholders across all levels up to executive corporate level.

As FP&A Lead for UK Finance and Control items your emphasis will be on budgeting, forecasting, analysis and reporting.

The Role:

  • Support the FC and wider Finance team in pursuing business objectives in terms of quality and cost and output.
  • Maintain and improve productivity to support customer needs and adherence to schedules.
  • Identify, develop and implement continuous improvement activities.
  • Develop and produce financial and operating reports – from daily to quarterly.
  • Implement and improve procedures for managing and optimising financial information flows, guaranteeing reliability and consistency.
  • Collate, analyse and interpret budget data from a range of operational departments.
  • Establish year-end forecasts based on adjusted data (demand planning, costs, current events)   
  • Build the financial forecasts over 3 and 5 years based on current estimates, sales forecasts, plus strategic objectives.
  • Active participation in performance improvement initiatives including anticipation of deviations, corrective actions, identification of areas to optimise while fully supporting operational managers to drive efficiencies.
  • SOX awareness and financial controls ownership including testing and controls.
  • Further develop and co-ordinate margin analysis.


The Person:

  • Ideally qualified or part-qualified or professional qualifications / relevant degree although not essential to be considered.
  • Previous experience of operating within a commercial biased accountancy function within a manufacturing or industrial based environment advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills coupled with ability to engage and interact with cross-functional teams including non-finance plus senior level colleagues.
  • Knowledge of internal control systems and procedures including SOX compliance.
